Word Classification
Every single word in the Quran falls into one of these three simple categories.
Ism
اِسْمNouns & Names
Words that point to a person, place, thing, or quality. They are NOT tied to time.
Allah
اللَّه
Messenger
رَسُول
Book
كِتَاب
Verb
فِعْلVerbs & Actions
Words that describe an action and ARE tied to a specific time (Past, Present, or Command).
He said
قَالَ
He created
خَلَقَ
Say!
قُلْ
Huroof
حَرْفParticles
Words that don't give a complete meaning on their own unless they are joined with an Ism or a Fil.

Quick Tip
Think of **Ism** as the "What" (people, things), **Verb** as the "When" (actions happening in time), and **Huroof** as the "Glue" (connecting everything together).
